LOCATION

project description

Associated with the development of a parcel of land in Rockville, a stream stability assessment of an existing private sewer crossing Cabin John Creek was completed to determine the stability of the stream at the location where it crosses the existing main. At the time of sewer plan approval, stream protection measures were prescribed.

The stream assessment extended 150-feet upstream and 150-feet downstream of the sewer crossing and included a Rosgen stream-classification and Bank Erodibility Hazard Index (BEHI) assessment. WCG assessed the current stream conditions and stream protection measures to assess lateral and vertical stability of the creek to determine the risk to the existing sewer crossing.
