This project required the design of approximately 200 lineal feet of waterline to serve 12 new townhomes in Hailey, ID. CK Property Group contacted Western Consulting Group to request a proposal for waterline design services after discovering that there was a miscommunication, and this service would not be provided as part of another firm’s site civil engineering scope. With this project already behind schedule, WCG quickly worked with CK Property Group and the site civil engineer to model the system to determine the most efficient line and meter sizes based on the projected fixture flow of each townhome.
WCG determined that the most economical approach was a central meter for the City of Hailey with private meters managed by the Homeowners Association. WCG worked with the City of Hailey and CK Property Group to develop a meter solution that was acceptable to the City. Construction documents incorporated water distribution specifications and details per the ISPWC. This project was completed in three weeks from initial client contact and was approved by the City two weeks following submission.
