project description

WCG completed the final civil design for the renewable hydrogen gas (RH2) production facility at the existing Colton Sanity Landfill in Colton, California. The 1.27-acre site was designed to deliver renewable natural gas (RNG) to a Steam Methane Reformer (SMR) where Hydrogen is produced and then purified for delivery to the Fuel Cell Electric Truck (FCET) transportation market. The facility will be powered by renewable electricity generated onsite using the existing supply of landfill gas and microturbines. WCG completed stormwater, sanitary waste disposal, and utility design while accommodating the adjacent floodplain. This project was completed on time and on budget.
