WCG was contracted by FASTECH to perform site civil design for a commercial aviation company’s hydrogen enabled smart microgrid proving ground facility. Site civil design included utility connections to the proposed equipment pad, establishment of water, electrical, and hydrogen connections, as well as developing a waste line and connection to the existing sewer main. The location of the proposed hydrogen equipment pad was in a large grass berm and asphalt.

WCG performed site grading and drainage to ensure stormwater would not affect mechanical and electrical equipment. WCG subcontracted a structural team to ensure seamless integration of all system infrastructure. A full construction set that included civil, mechanical, and structural drawings for the proposed development was developed.
